Ruby H. Pate, 87, widow of John E. Pate, died Friday, September 10, 2010 at McCoy Memorial Nursing Center.
Born in Lee County, she was a daughter of the late Frierson Hall and the late Mary Radcliff Hall. Mrs. Pate was a member of Concord United Methodist Church at Lucknow. She was employed by Sumter Dairies for many years. After her retirement, she and her husband operated the J&R Grocery at Lucknow. She was a member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a brother-in-law, James H. Hyatt (Louise) of Lucknow: and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday at Concord United Methodist Church at Lucknow with the Rev. Marie Ray officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home and other times at the home of Gary and Delores Hall, 3311 Lucknow Rd., Bishopville.
