Mark Lane Deas, 47, died August 22, 2009 at his home in Eastover.
Born in Camden, he was a son of Naomi Deas Elmore and the late J.B. Deas. Mr. Deas was a member of Beulah Baptist Church at Horrell Hill. He was a graduate of Thomas Sumter Academy and Central Carolina Technical College. He was a Mason and was retired from the S.C. Forestry Commission. He was very much loved and will be greatly missed by his family.
Survivors include his mother, and step-father, Alford Elmore; two children, Katelyn Deas and Derek Deas; two brothers, Randy Deas (Marlene) and Mike Deas (Donna); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday in the Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Mizpah Baptist Church Cemetry.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M. Wednesday at Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home and at other times at 326 Bradley Road, Bishopville.
