Services for Barry have been rescheduled for today - Wed - 3:00 p.m Hancock Elmore Hill Chapel

Barry Dale Smith, 66, husband of Linda Langdon Smith, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, at his home.
Born in Florence, he was a son of the late Cecil Bradford Smith and the late Teressa Hatfield Smith. Mr. Smith was a member of Elliott Baptist Church and was retired from the South Carolina Department of Corrections. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors besides his wife include four children, Christy E. Smith, David J. Smith (Katharina), Jennifer L. Smith, and William B. Smith; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday in the Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Billy Griffith officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the home, 1490 Elliott Hwy., Bishopville.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 950 48th Ave. North, Myrtle Beach, S.C. 29577 or to the William Jennings Bryan Dorn VA Medical Center, Attn: Priscilla Creamer, 6439 Garner's Ferry Rd., Columbia, S.C. 29209.
Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home of Bishopville is in charge of the arrangements.

I am truly sorry I did not get to visit with Barry in his final days here on earth. I can only hope and pray that if it is in God's plan, we will meet up on that far shore where Angels sing - - because I know his wonderful voice will be highlighted in the Heavenly Choir! May God go with you my friend... Amen
