Judy Folsom Coleman - October 28, 2010

Bishopville, SC
October 28, 2010

Judy Folsom Coleman, 65, widow of Reggie Coleman, died Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Providence Hospital in Columbia.

Born in Lee County, she was the daughter of Mildred Watkins and the late Ed Folsom. Mrs. Coleman was a member of the High Hill True Light Church in the Lucknow community and retired from Bishopville Manufacturing. She was a loving and devoted daughter to her precious mother and the most wonderful and caring mama a child could ever ask for. While she loved her children dearly, she loved her grandchildren more than life itself. When not spending time at the nursing home caring for her mother, she could be found working in her beautiful yard. She touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with and is truly missed.

Survivors besides her mother of Bishopville include two sons, Jesse Richard Dean (Tammy) of Bishopville, and Thomas Edward Dean (Ann) of Columbia; two daughters, Donna Dean Gooding (Chuck), and Susan Payne Watkins (Bill) both of Bishopville; eleven grandchildren, Thomas Richard Dean, Dustin Thomas Barwick, Jayden Ross Dean, Laura Rulison (E. J.), Dorothy “Dottie” Dean, Thomas “Tommy” Dean, Charles Justin Gooding, Kristel Brooke Gooding, Zachary Nathan Gooding, William Payne Watkins, and Russell Anderson Watkins; and two great-grandchildren, Lily Rulison, and Raley Rulison.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the High Hill True Light Church with Mr. Russell McLeod officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home and other times at the home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 820 Gervais St., Columbia, SC 29201.

Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home of Bishopville is in charge of the arrangements.

Dear family,
So sorry to hear of Judy's death. I have been looking for her a very long time and had an incorrect last name. I am truly sorry for your loss. I am a cousin. Judy's mom is my dad's sister. A family member may contact me, if you like. email: lenorastephens@me.com
