BISHOPVILLE -- Joseph Edwin "Joe" Truett, 51, died Saturday, October 16, 2010 at his home.
Born in Darlington County, he was a son of the Betty Gainey Truett and the late Otis C. Truett. Mr. Truett was employed by T & T Tractors.
Survivors besides his mother of Bishopville include two sons, Joey Truett, and Blake Truett both of West Columbia; one sister, Sharon Odette Truett of Bishopville; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Elaine Rogers; and one brother, Randy Truett.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Cecil Stevens officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Matthews United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral home and other times at 15 & 18 Benji Ln., and 616 Bethune Hwy., Bishopville.
Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home of Bishopville is in charge of the arrangements.
