Funeral services for Peggy Mozingo King, 78, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. The Rev. Barbee Parsons and the Rev. Ryan Riley will officiate with burial in the church Cemetery directed by Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 22, 2009 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, Box 56, Lydia, SC 29079. Mrs. King died Monday, December 21, 2009. Born in Darlington County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Johnnie and Lois Campbell Mozingo. She was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and an excellent cook. Surviving are her husband, Johnnie King of Lydia, SC; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Terry and Wanda King of Bishopville, SC; daughter, Jean King of Florence, SC; sister, Barbara Galloway of Hartsville, SC; brother, J. E. Mozingo of Oates, SC; grandchildren, Emily King Watts, Gilliam King, Zach King. The family would like to thank her caregivers, Geraldine Barefoot, Lou Adams, and Sheila Stalheim.
