William Harold Johnson Sr., 83, of Cassatt, S.C., formerly of Lexington, N.C., died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013, at his home.
A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel by Carl Nelson and Daniel Farris. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park with military graveside rites.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Johnson was born in Yadkin County on Aug. 8, 1930, to Earl C. Johnson and Lillie Macemore Johnson. A Master Mason, he retired as a technical sergeant from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Doris Elizabeth Johnson; sisters Marie Johnson Mabry and Louise Johnson Musgrave; and brother James Lewis Johnson.
Surviving are sons “Bobby” William H. Johnson Jr. and wife “Susie” Elizabeth A. Johnson of Sumter, S.C., and Glenn Johnson and friend Christina Strable of Dandridge, Tenn.; sister Eunice Johnson Fortner of Galax, Va.; grandchildren “B.J.” William H. Johnson III and wife Alicia Ann Johnson of Sumter, S.C., Rachael Johnson of Greenville, S.C., and Ashley Johnson and Glenn Johnson Jr., both of Camden, S.C.; and great-granddaughter Skyla Grace Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
