Judy M. Hatfield August 19, 2010

Camden, SC

August 20, 2010

You are my Sunshine.

This is to honor the life of Judy M. Hatfield. After her 67th birthday, this August 4th, she chose a new path Thursday, August 19th, 2010.

You are my Sunshine.

Her loving husband, Jack Hatfield and their only son Jack Hatfield, Jr. were by her side throughout her life. The family always knew they had each other. Jack and his wife Dorothy loved seeing their daughter Jonna Lil play with her MamMaw. Life flowed through them and from them like no other. Ma had the courage to live life, drink from its cups, and make funny faces along the way.

You make me happy, when skies are grey.

The hugs from the reunion of Judy and her parents, Charles McCaskill and Lacel Hughes have definitely commenced and to be certain, there is much catching up to do. The whole family was a boisterous bunch with five sisters and a brother, so there will be plenty of stories to tell!

Her sisters Sharon and Lucille and her only brother Charles “Uncle Bud”, are here, and while they will miss their dear sister, they know that Margie and Louise are now dancing with Judy. We know there is Lulu lying by her side, BooBoo patiently waiting for Ma to sit so she can git in her lap and Prissy is so excited, she just keeps barking.

You never know dear, how much I love you.

The wondrous joy of a great life now coupled with the sorrow of passing. Twists and turns adding to the compilation along the way, but never wavering from the ever present desire to enjoy every moment.

Thank you Ma. We Love You.

Please don’t take my Sunshine away.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12PM-2PM at her home. The funeral will be Sunday at 3:00PM at Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home located at 200 West Church Street, Bishopville, SC 29010.

In lieu of flowers, as Ma can’t stand carnations, donations can be sent to the Early Journey Foundation PO Box 116 Camden, SC 29020.

Love is stronger than death even though it can’t stop death from happening, but no matter how hard death tries it can’t separate people from love. It can’t take away our memories either. In the end, life is stronger than death.

Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home of Bishopville is in charge of the arrangements.
