BISHOPVILLE — Sally Johnson Josey, 94, widow of Henry Edward Josey Sr., died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at KershawHealth Medical Center at Camden.
Born in Inman, she was a daughter of the late Walker Otto and Sallie Kate Dalton Johnson. Mrs. Josey was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church and was a retired school teacher.
Survivors include three sons, Henry Edward Josey Jr. (Carolyn) of Bishopville, Jerry Johnson Josey Sr. (Susi) of Beaufort and William Chester Josey (special friend, Georgia Reynolds) of Bishopville; grandsons, Henry Edward Josey III (Kip), Joshua Michael Josey and Jerry Johnson Josey Jr.; granddaughters, Jackie Josey Bulloch and Summer Josey Yarborough; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Walter, Glen, Dill, Shorty and Skinny; sisters, Mary, Nell, Louise and Dora; special nephews, Jack Golighty and Maxy Golighty; and a special niece, Katie Golighty Wingo.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in the Bethany Baptist Church cemetery with the Rev. James Chandler and the Rev. Henry Altman officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday at Bethany Baptist Church and other times at 526 Green Lane, Bishopville.
