WEDGEFIELD -- Frances L. Player Schwabenbauer, 66, wife of Kenneth R. Schwabenbauer, died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.
Born Nov. 4, 1944, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Mack C. and Lucille Bradshaw Player. Mrs. Schwabenbauer was employed by Wal-Mart for six years. She was an avid Clemson fan.
Survivors include her husband of Wedgefield; four children, Bobby and Tammy Schwabenbauer of Sumter, Leigh and Tom Kelsch of Belton, Texas, Lynn and Chris Dunn of Columbia, and Kelli and Jacques Charest of Wedgefield; grandchildren, Jason, Ashley, Joey, Nikki, Kenny, Christalynn and Jakki; great-grandchild, Bryleigh; godchildren, Kathryn, Daniel and Michael; a sister, Elizabeth McAllister of Williston; brothers, Mac and Kay Player and Charles Player, all of Sumter; and her mother-in-law, Laura A. Schwabenbauer of St. Louis, Mo.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Annette McLeod and Carolyn Virginia Player.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Toby Toburen officiating. The family requests casual dress.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at the home, 1765 Condor Drive, Wedgefield.
