Garis Bryan, beloved husband of Guelda Bryan died on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at his residence.
Mr. Bryan was born on November 10, 1937 in Troy, Kansas to the late Leslie Leroy and Vera Louise Bryan. He retired from the United States Air Force after 23 years of service and later retired from the Crown Oil Company as a District Manager of Training. He was a Mason and a member of the Hillcrest Lodge. He loved to work with wood and loved to camp. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Surviving in addition to his wife are: two sons, Gregory “Greg” Bryan and Garth Bryan and his wife Ruth, all of Savannah, Missouri ; one daughter, Glenda Bryan Painter and her husband John of Dalzell; one brother, Leslie Bryan and his wife Ginny of St. Joseph, Missouri; three sisters; Nelda Bryan of St. Joseph, Missouri, Marilyn Bryan of St. Joseph, Missouri and Annetta Bryan Herbert and her husband Ted of Madison, Indiana; three grandchildren : Amanda Bryan, Jessica Bryan and April Painter and one great-grandchild; Heaven Bryan.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Sue McDonald. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 29, 2011 at 3:00 in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wanda Altman officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with full Military Honors. The family will receive friends on Sunday May 29, 2011 from 2-3 prior to the service at Bullock Funeral Home.
