Grace Richards DesChamps of Acworth, GA. & Bishopville, SC. died Friday, November 12, 2010 at her daughter's home. She was 77. Grace was an adoring wife, the best Mother, Grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is remembered for her special way of touching those she loved.
She is survived by her husband, Wallace P. DesChamps of SC. and a large family: four children, Mike, Lynette, & Carey Carlisle & Beverly Clackum; three step-sons, Wally, John & Stephen DesChamps; four daughter-in-laws; two son-in-laws and their families including 19 grandchildren & 21 great-grandchildren. Her son, Tony Carlisle, died in 1998.
Born in Ball Ground, GA. she grew up and worked in Cherokee & Cobb Counties, retiring from Lockheed Georgia Co. after 40 years in 1993. In 1995 she married Wallace and enjoyed their travels and embraced life in Bishopville.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 4 to 8 pm with the funeral service on Monday November 15, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, in Kennesaw, GA. Please visit the memorial website at MEM.com.
