Services for Helen Reed Lyles, 77, of Bishopville will be held at 11 am Tuesday May 12, 2009 in the Lucknow Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Howard Brown, Rev. Allen Lynch, and Rev. Tommy Wilkes. Burial will follow in the Wayside Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Monday, May 11, 2009 at Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Lucknow Baptist Church Building Fund, 899 Hubb Kelley Road, Cassatt, S.C. 29032 or to Hospice Care of SC, 235 N. Main Street, Bishopville, SC 29010.
Mrs. Lyles, widow of Hanie Leo Lyles, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2009. Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Edward Reed and the late Eva Bacote Reed.
Survivors include three daughters, Deborah "Frosty" Watson (David), Myra Brown (Stan), and Robin Plumley all of Bishopville; five grandchildren, Daniel Watson, Dennis (Dana) Plumley, Paige Plumley, Melissa Brown, and Shaun Brown; one great granddaughter, Arizona Plumley; a brother, Raymond Reed of North Charleston; and a sister, June Parfitt of Pawtucket, RI.
The family would like to thank Hospice Care of SC and everyone for their support during the loss of their mother.
Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home of Bishopville is in charge of the arrangements.

I am so sorry to find this. I did not know Mrs. Helen was still alive until last year. If I had known of her passing and could have come I would have. I met her years ago as a young child when my dad, Michael Lyles, and myself were just beginning our genealogical research. My extreme condolences for the family and may the Lord Jesus Christ bless you all; keeping you all from harm's way.
