Annette Watson Stokes 10/3/1943 - 2/10/2013

Bishopville, S.C.
Funeral services for Annette Watson Stokes, age 69, who passed away February 10, will be held Wednesday at 3:00 at Cedar Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Dave Robinson and Rev. Sim Smith will officiate. 
Burial will be in the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home, Bishopville. Visitation will be Tuesday 6-8 pm at the Funeral Home. 
Annette was born in Bishopville a daughter of the late Walter Thomas & Anna Lee Smith Watson. She was employed with the Lee County Sheriff’s Department for over 15 years, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She started playing the piano for the Cedar Creek Quartet at age 13 and has been playing for them for 56 years. 
Surviving  are her husband, Charlie T. (Bud) Stokes, Jr., Bishopville; two daughters, Debbie Stokes, Charleston and Vickie (Kevin) Richardson, Bishopville; Granddaughter like a child, Ashleigh Welch, Bishopville; one great grandchild, Easton Aycock, Bishopville; one sister, Kaye (Myron) Arrants, Bishopville; two brothers, Jerry (Gail) Watson, Bishopville and David Watson, Camden. 
Memorials may be made to the Cedar Creek Quartet, 2702 Camden Highway, Bishopville, S.C. 29010.

Margaret Drakeford Smith April 27, 1923 - January 29, 2013

BISHOPVILLE, SC

Margaret Drakeford Smith, 89, the widow of Jared Manly Smith, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 29, 2013. She was born to the late Bryan and Sue Drakeford near Camden, SC, on April 27, 1923. She leaves a legacy of loving kindness and the ability to see the good in everyone. If you knew her, you are richer for the experience. 

She is survived by her children, Jared M. and Marie Smith of Bishopville (she never allowed anyone to add "in law" to Marie's status as her daughter), two grandsons, Bryan Smith of Greenville and Paul Smith of Bishopville, a sister, Mary Lois Drakeford Fletcher (Bobby) of Lugoff and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond Drakeford, Roy Drakeford and Troy Drakeford. 

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, January 31st at Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home in Bishopville. 

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, February 1st at the First Baptist Church of Bishopville with the Rev. Sam Stevens, Rev. Henry Altman and The Rev. Lin Kirkman officiating.

Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home of Bishopville is in charge of the arrangements.
