Dr. Lawrence Beaufort Graham died Sunday at his home in Anderson, SC, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Dr. Graham was born October 12, 1932, in Lee County, SC, the son of the late Lawrence B. and Vermell Graham. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at Salem Baptist Church, 1325 Salem Church Road, Anderson, SC, and entombment in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with military funeral honors where the United States Army will pay final tribute on behalf of a grateful nation.
Dr. Graham attended Catawba College, was a graduate of Furman University and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and was awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity by Bethel Baptist Church. He joined the United States Army in 1959, where he served God and our military in the Chaplain Corps, attaining the rank of lieutenant colonel. He was a Vietnam War veteran and during his military career was awarded the Army Commendation Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Campaign Medal; Vietnam Service Medal (4 Campaigns); Meritorious Unit Citation; Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm; Meritorious Service Medal; Armed Forces Reserve Medal; and The Legion of Merit, a decoration awarded for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services and achievements and the sixth in the order of precedence of U.S. military decorations. Dr. Graham was as active during retirement as in his military career, serving as interim pastor of Hermitage Baptist Church and as pastor of Southside Baptist Church, both of Camden, SC, working for Anderson School District 5, serving as Associate Pastor and Music Director for Salem Baptist Church and Music Director for Bethel Baptist Church, both of Anderson, SC. He served as supply pastor for churches in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. Finally, and until his death, he served as Chief Bailiff at the Anderson County Courthouse. He was a 32nd degree Mason.
Dr. Graham is survived by his wife, Caroline Brown Graham, by his children and stepchildren, Deborah Graham Napper, David Lawrence Graham, Stephen Beaufort Graham, Jimmie Greg Cash, Ann Cash Cartee, and his granddaughter raised in his home, Jessica Cash Vickery, 13 more grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Patricia Ann Watson Ingle - July 20, 2009
BISHOPVILLE — A memorial service for Patricia Ann Watson Ingle, widow of Kenneth Parnell Ingle will be 2:00 PM, Thursday July 22, 2009, in Cain Funeral Home Chapel Florence, conducted by the Rev. Bobby Steen. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service. Memorials may be made to National Autism Society. Mrs. Ingle, 68, died Monday July 20, 2009, at her residence. She was born March 8, 1941 in Bishopville, SC to the late Henry McDonald and Gladys Williams Watson. She was also predeceased by four sisters. . Mrs. Ingle was a loving mother and wife who dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. Surviving are: daughters, Jane (Bill) Schuster of Florence, Jennifer(Michael) Gabey of Rome, GA and Kallie Kirk of New Market, AL; eight grandchildren, brothers, Larry Watson and Doug Watson of Bishopville, Johnny Watson of Cedar Creek and Mike Watson of Scranton; and life long friend and companion, Robert Bobby Lancaster of Bishopville. Graveside services for Margaret Flowers Stokes, age 91, who died July 14 will be held Friday at 2:00 pm from the Presbyterian Church Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Thursday 6-8 at the Funeral Home.
Mrs. Stokes was born in Bishopville a daughter of the late Walter P. & Carolyn Blake Flowers. She was a member of the Bishopville Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are Nieces & Nephews: Bobby (Robert), Woodrow, Faye & Brenda Flowers, Debra Yesner, Trisha Johnson, Peggy Hart, Bill, Keith & Sandy Rhodes. She was preceded in death by her husband J.W. Stokes; Brothers: Bob & Beattie Flowers; Sister: Carolyn F. Rhodes.

Olive A. Crews, 78, widow of Jimmy Crews, died Friday, July 10, 2009 at a local nursing facility.
Born in Darlington County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph David Kelley and the late Kate Posey Kelley. Mrs. Crews was the owner of Star Haven Stables.
Survivors include one daughter, Julia C. Hucks and her companion, David Mathis of Bishopville; one grandson, Stacy M. Hucks and his Fiance, Brandi Kirby of Elgin; one great-grandson, Landon Cole Hucks; and one sister, JoAnn Kelley Lee and her husband, Lyndal of Hartsville.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rita Terry King; and three brothers, Posey David Kelley, Thomas E. Kelley, and Rev. Ted Fulton Kelley.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Luke B. King officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
