Lloyd Woffard Atkinson, 78, husband of Charlotte Lashley Atkinson, died Thursday, April 23, 2015, at his home.
Born July 30, 1936, in Lee County, he was a son of the late Madison Arthur Atkinson and the late Sarah Poole Atkinson. He was a graduate of Lynchburg High School and retired from Parker Auto Supply after 35 years of service. After accepting Jesus Christ as his personal Savior in 1991, he became a member of Northside Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include his loving wife of 27 years; four children, Cheryl McLeod (Stanley) of Sumter, Wayne Atkinson (Debbie) of Wedgefield, Cindy Evans (Bill Porter) of Eastover, and Rusty McGee (Penny) of Sumter; step-children, Debra L. McElveen and Michael Wayne McElveen both of Sumter, Ann E. Deal (Tim) of Columbus, OH, Bobby Joe McGee of Lake City, Sandra Nesbitt of Georgetown, Linda McGee of Lake City, Diane Hephburn (Robert) of Scranton; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Iris DuBose (Bobby) of Sumter; and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Bruce Derwin McGee and David Anthony McGee; six brothers, Edward, Leo, Buster, Claude, Glenn, and C.J. Atkinson; and a sister, Marie Schwartzback.
Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Monday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jim Palmer and the Rev. Jimmy Holley officiating. Burial will be in the Wells Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Stanley McLeod, Jr., Jason Capell, Sidney Caples, Billy Atkinson, Mike Clint Weaver, and Brandon Deal.
Honorary pallbearer will be Paul Capell.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 P.M. Sunday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home, 306 Wilson St.
Memorials may be made to Northside Memorial Baptist Church, 1004 N. Main St., Sumter, SC 29153, Tri- County Hospice, 2560 Tahoe Dr., Sumter, SC 29150, or the Providence Baptist Church Building Fund, 2445 Old Manning Rd., Sumter, SC 29150.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Tri-County Hospice, especially to Kim Griffin, Sue Smith, and Sally McDuffie, for all of their care and compassion.

David Jones (D.J.) McCall, widower of Melba McCall, died April 4, 2015. He was 95 years old.
Born in Summerton (Remini area), he was the son of the late Daniel Jones and Eunice Alsbrooks McCall.
Mr. McCall, a veteran of World War II, was a member of the Sumter Masonic Order (Claremont Lodge No 64, AFM) for (over) 60 years. He worked at Williams Furniture Company before and after the war, followed by 30 years at the Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company. For 20 years, until the age of 88, he worked as a park ranger at Swan Lake – Iris Gardens in Sumter. It was his pleasure to give cart tours for thousands of visitors. In his early 80s, Mr. McCall worked as a security guard for Security Management of South Carolina.
Survivors include a son Jack (Rose) McCall and daughter, Judy McCall, who reside in Sumter; daughter Nancy (Tom) Brunson from Forsyth, Georgia; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Grandchildren include Eric McCall, Chris McCall, Mandi (Andy) King, Wendy Brunson, Kimberly (David) Ballard, Shane Brunson, and Michelle McCall. Also, Katie Hamilton and her children Nikki, Danny, and Caleb have been like grandchildren to him.
Mr. McCall was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Marion McCall, and seven sisters—Mary McCall, Lucille Silver, Belva Truesdale, Pearl McLeod, Sadie Hair, Maude Gainey, and Elizabeth Smith.
The family would like to thank the residents and staff at McElveen Manor for the love and care shown him for the past two years. Thanks go also to the staff at Sumter VA Clinic, Dorn VA Medical Center and Warriors Walk Hospice for the good care he received from them.
The family will greet friends and relatives on Monday, April 6 at Lakewood Baptist Church beginning at 3 p.m., followed by the memorial service at 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund at Lakewood Baptist Church, 3140 Nazarene Church Road in Sumter.

Olin Daniel Price, Sr. - Saturday, February 14, 2015

Olin Daniel Price, Sr., 68, husband of Shirley Branham Price, died Saturday February 14, 2015 at Tuomey Regional Medical Center in Sumter. 

Born in Camden, he was a son of the late Joe K. Price and the late Mae Keller Price. 

Mr. Price was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. He owned and operated Bishopville Parts, Inc. for 46 years. 

He was a Volunteer Fire Fighter for over 30 years; 1999 Fireman of the Year, served on the Bishopville City Council, served 4 years as President of the board for Robert E. Lee Academy, and served in the National Guard. 

Mr. Price was a devoted husband, Daddy, Papa, and friend. 

Survivors include his wife of Bishopville; one daughter, Lynn Price Daniels of Bishopville, one son, Danny Price (Kim) of Sumter; four grandsons, Cody Daniels, Chase Daniels, Dawson Price, and Keaton Price; two sisters, Ellen Lee (Carl) and Donna Galloway both of Camden; and two brothers, Leo Price (Susie) of McBee and Lewis Price (Pat) of Sumter. 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday at Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. David Robinson officiating. 

Burial will be in the church cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be Benny Laney, Ronnie Williams, Jerry Price, Derrick Brown, Junior Holland, Carl Whetsel, Russell Reeder, and Ran Reeder. 

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral home and other times at the home. 

Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home of Bishopville is in charge of the arrangements.
