BISHOPVILLE, SC
Vernon Tyra Reynolds, Jr., 66, husband of Priscilla Hodges Reynolds, died Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Kershaw Health Center in Camden.
Born in Gastonia, NC, he was a son of Dorothy Cornwell Reynolds and the late Vernon Tyra Reynolds, Sr. Mr. Reynolds was a retired general contractor.
He was greatly loved by his family and always tried to live a life that mattered. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 44 years; a daughter, Tracey Lynch and husband, Chris; a son, Todd Reynolds and fianc‚, Hagan Grills; mother, Dorothy Reynolds, a brother, Gershom Reynolds and wife, Rusty; a sister, Joanna Redick and husband, Hugh; four grandsons, Tyler, Reid, Conner, and Wesley; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 1 P.M. Wednesday at Forest Lawn East Cemetery, 3700 Forest Lawn Dr., Matthews, NC.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M. Tuesday at Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home and other times at 310 Zemp Rd., Bishopville.
Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home of Bishopville is in charge of the arrangements.
