July 2008 Susan was in Bishopville to attend the Gathering of the Classes reunion of Bishopville High School along with hundreds of her former schoolmates.

Saturday night, July 26 was hot and humid at Bishopville's Country Club. Keeping it hot and humid, Susan and I 'shagged'and ever so briefly shared a few quick memories of our school days long past... I believe it was the first time I ever shagged with her... what a dancer! That's one dance I'll never forget.

The next day, Sunday, Susan attended the Morning Memorial Service held at Lake Ashwood in honor of BHS schoolmates who had passed on to a greater adventure.

Susan has joined those former schoolmates.... I can almost hear them as they greet one another. What joy it must be!

To Susan's family; it is with a heavy, heavy heart that I offer my sincere condolences.

We only have a short time with our loved ones... make the most of that time... make lots of memories... May God bless you all.

I remember Susan coming in with her girlfriends to get their hair fixed on Fridays. It was the highlight of my day and Mama really looked forward to the conversations that went on. Some of it was not to leave the shop, but thinking back, it was all so much fun.
Susan had the most contagious laugh and she had the best sense of humor, keeping us laughing the whole time she was in the shop.
Skip and I are truly saddened by Susan's death, and we also offer our condolences to her family. May God comfort you and give you peace during this time.
