Funeral services for George Amon Plyler age 79, who passed away Oct. 27, will be held Friday at 2:00 at the Norton Funeral Home chapel. Rev. B.R. Wallace & Rev. Gene Plyler will officiate. Burial will be in the Wayside Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 5-7 pm at the Funeral Home.
Mr. Plyler was born in Chesterfield County a son of the late Johnnie W. & Mary McManus Plyler.
Surviving are his wife Dioleta Payos Plyler and son Jude Paul Plyler; other sons George Amon Plyler, II, George Mills; Daughters Ashley, Elaine & Brenda Kay; Brothers: Larry Plyler, McConnells, S.C., Ray, Charles & Thomas Plyler, Rock Hill, Rev. Gene Plyler, Charleston; Sisters: Carolyn Price, Rock Hill, June Marler, Greenville, Ethel McIntosh, Newton, N.C., Sue Gibson, Chester, Janice Cox, Paducah, KY, Deborah May, Charlotte; Several Grand & Great Grandchildren.
